The peach and apple picking season usually starts around 1st week of August and will continue to mid September. There is always an art to everything and this of course peaching fruit is one of them. Rules : Peaches are best picked when the fruit separates easily from the twigs. If it is hard to pull off the tree, it isn't ripe. Color of the peach plays a important part too but the most important is to look out for is definitely the smell - the sweeter the smell, the tastier the peach it is!
